Why do men commit violence?
I usually write about Roblox scripting or messing around with pentesting tools, not stuff like this. But lately, I've been getting sucked into these radical feminist accounts on Twitter and... yeah.
The Pattern
Look at the numbers. Mass shootings, domestic abuse, rape, murder — It’s mostly men.
The media or people always frame it like:
- "A woman was killed"
- "A girl was assaulted"
but never:
"A man killed her"
"A man raped her"
That language hides the truth. it avoids the why.
How do men end up like this?
Boys are taught early:
- Don’t cry
- Don’t be weak
- Man up
So they bury emotions. Sadness turns into anger. Fear turns into rage.
No one teaches men how to feel — just how to react.
Men get told being a man means being strong. Dominant. In control.
And when that control slips? Some men lash out.
Not born violent
It’s not because of biology.
Testosterone isn’t making people abusive. Culture is.
Watch any movie. The person who wins is the one who hits harder.
Weakness is mocked. Vulnerability is punished.
Cycles
A lot of violent men grew up in violent homes.
They weren’t taught better. that doesn’t excuse it — but it explains a lot.
And if no one breaks the cycle, it just keeps going.
So why am I writing this?
Because I’m a person.
Because I’ve heard the jokes.
Because I’ve seen the way we talk when no one’s listening.
Because I don’t want to be part of the silence anymore.
If you’re not that guy, cool. But that doesn’t mean it’s not our problem.
It means we should speak up. Talk to each other. Check each other.
I know this isn’t my usual post. i’ll go back to random logic code and breaking sandbox VMs next week.
But this one needed to exist.
